The little fox isn’t so little anymore, and has now reached the planet’s most remote fashionable corners. We’re talking Maison Kitsuné‘s newest outpost in Chengdu, situated at the Chengdu IFS, one of the leading luxury shopping centres in the heart of the city. Occupying a 102 sqm. (1,098 sq.ft.) unit on the first floor, wedged in between the retail spaces of MSGM and Kenzo, the retail space has been designed by the brand’s in-house design team. The setting sees an understated aesthetic with geometric lines that’s largely captured by a palette of light materials. A middle section, comprising of a grid of beams and a contrasting terracotta backdrop adds warmth and depth to the premises. The merchandise is showcased by way of steel clothing racks, suspended wooden shelving and matching displays. The new Maison Kitsuné store stocks the brand’s men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, bags and shoes. In celebration of its opening, the store also carries a Chengdu City Exclusive Collection featuring a design that combines the city’s signature panda head with the brand’s iconic fox head on T-shirts, sweatshirts, caps and canvas bags.
