“From the off Motive came up with some great ideas for how to reflect our culture and identity in our space. Our team are absolutely loving the end result which helped the office to feel like home from day one.”
– Jan Shury, Managing Director
IFF is a market research agency known for shining a light on stories that need to be heard—from scrutinising government policy to understanding vulnerable communities. With 60 years in London, their identity is built on heritage, purpose, and people.
Their latest move—from a Thames-side office to a pre-fitted Cat A+ space in Borough—risked losing that culture. With occupancy at just 25%, they turned to Motive to bring their essence back to life.
Motive uncovered that it’s IFF’s people who drive the brand forward. The design celebrates this with authentic London bricks engraved with values, street photography of Londoners, and a vintage telephone wall honouring remote interviewers.
A hand-painted timeline, gold-leaf values, and pearl-detailed lettering embody their Human First ethos. Even the beloved table football was branded with their “Rules of the Game,” immersing the team in their way of life.
Every detail tells their story—from neon signage for events to framed historic research papers. Bespoke artwork of their favourite London pubs in the breakout area nods to team bonding and history.
What felt like a move away from London’s heart has become a love letter to it. Occupancy has since risen to 95%.
