Le GRAND CLOSET de PARIGOT / MAN by Wonderwall

PARIGOT, a fashion boutique that has primarily focused on women’s wear in the Tokyo metropolitan area, has opened its first men’s wear store in Tokyo called Le GRAND CLOSET de PARIGOT / MAN, with items from over 100 different Japanese and international brands. The concept of the interior design is “a private closet of an imaginary art collector who loves fashion, built for admiring his beloved clothes”. One of the sources of inspiration was the seemingly bland yet emotionally poignant images of Candida Höfer, a German photographer who represented the Becher School. The other was the daydreamy and unrealistic world within ”American Psycho,” a film starring Christian Bale that depicts the life of a business executive/yuppie in 1980s New York. The store contains two areas with distinct tastes, one contemporary and the other authentic, designed to match the great collection of items that range from high fashion and luxury-sport to classic.
