City of Inspiration by Fun Connection

Located in Chongqing’s Yuelai District, City of Inspiration blends lifestyle and commerce in a vibrant urban complex. Designed by fun Connection, the project integrates modern oriental aesthetics with the area’s cultural roots, creating a space that honors history while energizing community life.

The sales center façade combines red brick textures with metal mesh and glass to evoke the district’s heritage and renew its identity. Layered arches, graphic decals, and sculptural forms add depth and artistic character, striking a balance between tradition and modernity.

Spanning four floors, the commercial space transitions from immersive retail experiences to cultural, recreational, and wellness areas. From themed storefronts and interactive art to cafés, clinics, and reading lounges, each level fosters daily connection and creative engagement.

A playful cat-themed sculpture series—developed as the project’s signature IP—brings charm and emotional resonance. Crafted from durable materials, these whimsical scenes of “cat life” serve as visual anchors and social touchpoints.

In the public realm, layered lighting, nature-inspired seating, and custom installations create a welcoming, multi-sensory experience. Through thoughtful design, fun Connection transforms the site into a warm, story-rich community hub where commerce and culture thrive together.
